Yeah, sure they had some rapid spreading disease. More like the people that worked there were having a bad day so decided to kill some dogs to make themselves feel better in some twisted, sick way. They're bound to have some cover story, after all the world is watching. Are they really going to say WE KILLED THEM BECAUSE WE COULD AND WE WANTED TO!!!

If anyone can help these animals first have to beat bureaucracy system in which we live Romans. The problem is serious because speacial places arranged for lost animals are dirty terrible condition with no food and no need to provide them. So these animals die sooner or later. This is terrible reality in Romania, because, unfortunately, we have people who do not care.

Yes he hasn't done anything bad since being free. The Romanian law stinks if he was Romanian he would have been freed. I am ashamed to call myself Romanian.

To those who wonder why no one has been sentenced this hard before, I have news for you: The law evolves, and be sure that others, including Romanians, will be charged similarly, based on this sentence, in the future. Driving is a privilege; NOT a right. If you speed through the red light, and kill people, you should be jailed for life. He got off easy. Vehicular homicide is the last segment of the law which needs to be raised to meet all other standards of homicide. Drunk driving (not this case to my knowledge) should be at the same level with premeditated murder, and so on. Roads are to be used safely by all. To take three lives, for trivial personal reasons, is unimaginable. He should never make it out of jail. Life is what he deserves, and should consider himself lucky. To all of you who think he's got it bad, walk in the shoes of the victims' families; yet something's telling me you don't have what it takes... A British Citizen with complete lack of respect for his host Country- a complete shame for the whole of Britain. May he learn his lesson, be grateful for his short sentence, and have more respect for other human beings in the future. And for those who think that God having a plan there makes it all right, I feel sorry for you: you've just made the cut for the lowest of God's Kingdom!

Jeff - have you SEEN the shocking scenes of the slaughter, the unbelievably disgusting conditions of the "shelters" - if so, I can't comprehend how you can say "not cruel!" You say "anyone who has spent time in Bucuresti" - have you seen footage of the protests against this brutality - they are ROMANIAN people, LIVING in Romania, including MEP Daciana Sarbu,Maricica Puica, Olympic World champion, Monica Davidescu, actress, Remus Cernea, ecologist and candidate for President of Romania, and many ordinary decent citizens, devastated and deeply ashamed of what their government is doing. And there ARE Romanian volunteer groups who have opened shelters, and are struggling against overwhelming odds to operate them - they sadly don't have huge amounts of money to put where their mouths are - but do the best they can with their limited resources. No, the government has not "finally" got it right - the matter should have been properly and intelligently dealt with years ago, before the situation reached this sad state - with a properly implemented neutering programme - for which, incidentally, funds were allotted, so one may well ask - what were those funds used for???

No, thanx. Romanians have been criticized for ages for not being able to integrate the filthy gypsies. Now these gypsies moved to those countries that criticized Romania for not taking care of them. Show us how to do it right! Keep the damn gypsies and integrate them as you adviced us before.Western Europe is full uf non-whites anyways. Keep the rats, keep the gypsies. We'll give them a kick in the butt if they ever come to Romania again!

Its a great start.... but they will not make a dent in the corruption unless they go for the people at the top. All of these arrests are middle to low end people on the scale of corruption.
