I think the government is FINALLY getting the right idea. Anybody that has spent time in Bucuresti knows the dog situation is out of control. It is more cruel to allow so many stray dogs live off garbage, filthy water and disease. It is not cruel but people that feel that it is cruel, should open their own dog shelter that does not put strays down. These protesters, especially from Spain, that have such a problem should try putting their money where their mouth is.

This could be an issue of civil rights, but.... did these groups of Roma fit the dresscodes of the club goers? Were ethnic Romanians also excluded from clubs for various reasons? I think this issue needs to be analyzed a bit closer before conclusions can be drawn.

Come on now.... its a beauty contest, not a moral living standard contest... I think organizers need to relax, let girls be girls and remember what the contest really is. A BEAUTY contest that takes place on stage.

The terrible scenes we are seeing, all over the world ,of the brutal slaughter of the dogs in Romania, are horrifying to all decent people. Unfortunately, the terrible reputation, caused by the horrific cruelty to animals, is bringing shame on all Romanians, including the many good and caring people who are so passionately opposed to it. So very sad....

Why make such a comment about someone that the entire Romanian population knows that been unfairly treated. Mark sampson before making such remarks look at yourself first. The man will always be innocent in the eyes of god. Father David White.

We have 3 weeks to wait for decisions. Three weeks for all the good people all over the world to support the good Romanian people, who care about these animals. We will do all we can to help these dear animals who have a right to life.

It is great to hear that foriegn investment is going into Romania that will create factory jobs. I think Romania has a big future in attracting foriegn investors and companies to set up production in Romania for the European markets. I hope Romania takes a lesson from this and cuts the red tape and welcomes foriegn investors in that will create jobs.

Romania needs a COMPLETE overhaul and new high speed transportation for the entire country via road, rail and light rail. It is a shame that politics and red tape has gotten in the way of Romania spending the money made available by the EU. It would lead to so many jobs and the increased infrastructure would be a miracle for the Romanian economy.

These crimes are so deviant and distructive to children, I would be outraged at the "slap on the wrist" these men were given if my child was abused. The punishment does not fit the crime. They should spend a LOT longer in prison for targeting and taking advantage sexually of innocent children.
