Official: Men worse drivers than women

Women have been revealed as better drivers than men in a new report by motoring experts.

A detailed study of 320,000 accidents that caused injuries has shown that men were driving in more than two thirds of them.

Women were involved in significantly fewer incidents of road rage, drink driving and serious accidents, shows the report by Germany's leading motorists' organisation ACE.

And even bad female motorists are still better than men, says the report, which marks the official end of cracks about women drivers.

"Even the worst values found for the women are still significantly better than the male drivers, who caused nearly double the accidents with injuries," states the study.
