Redundant workers from a petrochemical plant have set up their own internet version of TV's Survivor show on a former prison island for Mafia dons.

The 15 workers from Porto Torres, Italy, filmed themselves at the one-time maximum security jail, renaming it Redundo Island for the spoof.

Now the island has drawn more than 25,000 supporters to a Facebook page set up to highlight the Sardinian workers' plight.
