Eye Watering Stunt

China's eyelid martial artist Yang Guanghe was back in action this week with his latest eye-popping stunt – pulling a 1.6 ton car with his eyelids.

Speaking after the stunt at Guizhou province, in southwest China, he said: "Anyone can use the tough parts of the body to perform feats of strength – my speciality is to turn my softer parts into something formidable."

His eye watering repertoire of tricks include carrying two pails of water attached to his eyelids at the same time as balancing on knives perched on a board on top of electric light bulbs while playing a flute.

He said: "I think that the pulling the car routine is my most visually impressive – it takes years of training to toughen the eyelids up to get to this sort of level and where you can perform feats like this. I would advise anybody to copy me who is not a professional. I am not a giant – I weigh just 45 kg – but I have the world's strongest eyelids."

He said he had been working on training his eyelids the 10 years to get to witness today, adding: "It was very painful at first but I persevered to get where I am to today."

His other routines include the ability to insert an electric drill going at full power into his nostril, and then to feed a live snake through his nose and out through his mouth.

The man is middle-aged Yang Guanghe, he weighs just 45 kilograms, but the power of his eyelids is amazing. According Yang, he has practised for more than 10 years. At first, it’s quit painful on the eyes, but later he became accustomed.

"I want to test the extremities of people’s fragile organs" Yang said.
