Trucker Markus Bach was left severely shaken - when his transporter with 25,000 litres of milk in it plunged more than 200 ft down an embankment on a steep mountain road.

The truck skidded out of control as he tried to get round a sharp left hairpin bend in Mumliswil-Ramiswil, Switzerland, spilling its load of milk as it rolled down the slope.

Police say the driver will be quizzed after he recovers from multiple injuries in hospital.

"They say you shouldn't cry over spilled milk, but I doubt that he'd agree with you," said one officer.
