Romania sees second highest construction output rise in EU

Romania had the second highest monthly rise in construction output in September, according to Eurostat.

The highest increases were registered in the Czech Republic (+2.4 per cent), Romania (+2.0 per cent) and Spain (+1.5 per cent), figures released by the EU statistics today (Thurs) showed.

The largest decreases were in Slovenia (-10.4 per cent), Slovakia (-6.2 per cent) and Portugal (-2.3 per cent).

Construction output dropped 1.1 per cent in the EU in September compared to previous month.

Meanwhile, the largest year on year decreases were seen in Slovenia (-32.2 per cent), Romania (-22.1 per cent) and Bulgaria (-19.7 per cent).
