Romanian company bosses, last in income rankings

Romanian company bosses have been identified as bottom lights in a European comparison made by Vienna-based business consulting agency Kienbaum Management Consultants, the Austrian Times has reported today.

Romanian company bosses have an average annual salary of 57,000 Euros a year. Slovakia is third from the bottom at 126,000 Euros ahead of Hungary (114,000 Euros).

The firm said today (Thurs) that British business bosses topped the rankings with an average annual salary of 381,000 Euros, followed by Germany (328,000 Euros). Austrians have an average of 305,000 Euros a year, while Belgium is fourth (279,000 Euros), followed by Switzerland (267,000 Euros) and Ireland (262,000 Euros).

Kienbaum Management Consultants said they expected wages for all working groups in Russia (firm bosses’ annual earnings: 189,000 Euros) to soar by 11.5 per cent year on year in 2011, while Spaniards would earn just 1.6 per cent more next year.

Companies listed on the stock exchange were not considered by the survey.
