Unemployment rate declined to 7.6 pc, from 7.7 percent in the fist quarter (Q1), the National Statistics Institute (INS) informed today (Tues).
The active population stood at 9,7 million. The economic dependency ratio (number of inactive and jobless people for 1,000 employed people) was 1.368 per thousand, higher for women (1.714 per thousand) and rural population (1.427 per thousand).
The employment rate of the active population stood to 62.9 percent in Q1.
The gap between the two unemployment rates was 1.8 percent (8.4 percent for men and 6.6 percent for women).
The highest unemployment, 23.9 percent, was registered among youths aged from 15 to 24.
