542 cannabis seedlings found in a Vienna Bucharest train

Romanian Times

Border police found 542 cannabis seedlings  aboard a train running between Vienna and Bucharest when they carried out a spot check at Curtici, in Arad county, western Romania.

The seedlings were found in three bags, left abandoned when the border control spotcheck was made.

Police spokesman Mihaela Les said: "The bags were found in a train unit, where a Hungarian citizen was also sitting. He declared he had no idea how the bags got there."

The train was stopped for more than 2 hours for the search.

Police are continuing the investigations to find out exactly where the cannabis seedling came from.
