A confidence vote in the new government is to be held next week, it was announced today (Mon).
Parliament officials said hearings of proposed ministers will start this Wednesday and will end on Friday at the latest.
They added some of the proposed ministers have yet to send their resumes to Parliament.
Romania's designated Prime Minister Lucian Croitoru, of the Liberal Democrats, said Friday he will seek a confidence vote in Parliament for a Cabinet of 14 ministries.
But observers say his government is unlikely to win the vote as all other parliamentary parties have backed Sibiu mayor Klaus Johannis as prime minister.
President Traian Basescu refused to nominate Klaus Johannis this month and said Croitoru had experience of banks and the international financial institutions which was needed in a current prime minister.
