Antonescu re-elected PNL leader

Former presidential candidate Crin Antonescu was re-elected president of the National Liberal Party (PNL) on Saturday in Bucharest.

He received two-thirds of the vote, or 986 votes, and his rival Ludovic Orban got 357 votes.

Antonescu was the PNL candidate in the 2009 Romanian presidential election. He got 20.02 per cent of the vote in the first round but failed to advance the run-off.
