100,000 households to be connected to electricity network

Nearly 100,000 households in villages in remote areas will be  connected to the electricity distribution network by the end of 2012, Prime Minister Emil Boc said today (Tues).

Over 2,000 isolated villages, especially in mountainous areas, will be connected to the electricity distribution network.

It will cost 225 million Euros, which will come from the government’s budget and electric supplier Electrica.

Boc said that he wished that all villages in Romania would be connected to the electricity distribution network.
