Caught
short driver Josef Ente watched in horror as he relieved himself behind
a bush during a family outing, and saw his brand new Mercedes with his
wife in the passenger seat rolling towards train tracks in Ohlsdorf,
Austria.
Ente, 77 - who told police he'd forgotten to put on the
handbrake - tried to run after the car to save wife Katharina, 72, but
tripped and fell.
"The car came to a halt on the tracks and he
had the presence of mind to phone us and the railway so all trains were
stopped," said a police spokesman.
"He seemed to be equally worried about his wife and his car, but it was a brand new car after all," said one officer.
