Decision postoned on Timisoara´s complaint

A decision in football club FC Timisoara's complaint about Rapid having wrongly used two players has been postponed, the Professional Football League (LPF) said yesterday (Weds) evening.

A positive response for FC Timisoara had been announced by Romania’s leading sports newspaper Gazeta Sporturilor but has not been confirmed by LPF.

LPF said that it had postponed its decision until a "competent commission" had decided whether the two players had had a right to play.

Timisoara had charged that Rapid Bucharest had unfairly used two players in a match it won by a score of 1-0 against Timisoara last week.

Rapid Bucharest used Dacian Varga and Tibi Balan when they allegedly were not club players.
