Romanian international football player Adrian Mutu, playing for AC Cesena, scored his 101st goal on Sunday in the Italian Series A, in the match against Novara (3-1).
Mutu, 33, scored twice in the match against Novara, in the Italian championship.
Mutu scored 16 goals for Hellas Verona, 18 for FC Parma, seven goals for Juventus Torino, 54 for AC Fiorentina and five for AC Cesena.
Mutu, who had a troubled career, due to two suspensions for cocaine and substance abuse, has been playing for Cesena since June last year, after leaving FC Fiorentina. He was signed for 1.8 million Euros per year, Cesena is the 9th team in his career.
Back in 2004, he played for Chelsea.
Having scored over 100 goals in Series A, means that Mutu has reached the record of Luca Toni, who is 10th amongst all time goalscorers. Totti leads the ranking, with 209 goals, followed by Del Piero with 185 goals and Inzaghi with 155.
