Swiss Air has, as of today (Mon), 14 flights per week from Bucharest to Zurich, doubling the flight operations in Romania, the company informs.
Half of the flights are operated by partner Helvetic Airline, on Fokker 100 aircraft.
"Currently we do not have the necessary capacity to operate these new flights with our own fleet, but the flexibility we have due to our partner Helvetic, allowed us to easily adapt to the needs of our passengers in Bucharest," says senior manager of Swiss Air East Europe, Bernhard Wodl in a communiqué.
The morning flights taking off from Bucharest asure the transfer to North American destinations.
Swiss is part of the German Group Lufthansa, together with Lufthansa, bmi, Germanwings and Austrian Airlines.
The company operates from Bucharest via Zurich to 72 destinations in 38 countries worldwide, transporting some 15 million passengers a year with a fleet of 90 aircraft.
