Romanian tourists invade Bulgaria during Orthodox Easter weekend

Most of the foreign tourists expected in Bulgarian summer resorts this weekend come from Romania, local press informs today (Thurs).

According to the Bulgarian hotel owners, over 60 per cent of the tourists expected to spend Easter there are Romanians. According to hotel owners from Sunny Beach Black Sea resort, Romanians top the list of foreign tourists, followed by Serbs and Macedonians.
Romanians choose to spend summer holidays at the Bulgarian Black Sea shore because of the lower tariffs and the better service.

Romanians are also expected to visit Veliko Tărnovo and Gabrovo, (North - central Bulgaria), a region renowned for its healing mineral baths.

The great majority of Romanians and Bulgarians are celebrating Easter according to the Orthodox calendar this weekend.
